1.Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes Products and Services

1.1 All of Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes products are subject to availability. In the event of any supply difficulties, I reserve the right to substitute a formerly agreed ingredient or component within the recipe or design of equivalent value and quality without notice.

1.2 If for any reason Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes can not supply a specific product or service, you shall be notified as soon as is reasonably possible and your payment will be reimbursed in full.

​

2. Prices and Payments

​

2.1 Prices displayed on the quote email or order form will remain valid for 7 days from the date it was emailed or handed to you, the client. Orders will be secured with a non-refundable booking fee which is usually about 40% of the total amount payable for the product displayed on the order form.

 

2.2 Full payment for the product or service must be received prior to and no less than 4 weeks before the wedding. Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes will not go ahead with the order if the payment has not been received by 4 weeks before the event.

2.3 Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes hires out many items such as cake stands and knives, for which there is usually a charge. In addition Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes will add a security deposit at the time of order of £50 which will be refunded on the safe and complete return of any hired items, within 7 days.

​

2.4 Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes service includes a complimentary wedding consultation and cake tasting. Any additional appointments are liable for an additional charge of £25 per hour.

​

2.5 Any fresh flowers to be used in the design must be ordered and paid for from your florist. Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes can not quote for any fresh flowers to be used on your wedding cake. The quote you receive is purely for the cake and any design elements Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes has created.

3. Delivery

​

3.1 Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes charges for delivery and set up of your cake at your chosen venue at a cost of £1 a mile from my base in Nantwich, Cheshire. If Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes is unable to gain access to the venue at the agreed time, I can not guarantee I will be able to set the cake up myself and the venue may have to complete the set up.

3.2 Clients are able to pick the cake up the day before the event from my base in Nantwich and take it and set it up at the venue themselves. Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes can not accept any responsibility for any damage caused once the cake has left my premises. 

​

3.3 Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes cannot be held responsible for any damage sustained to the cake, once I have left the chosen venue. A photograph is always taken immediately before I leave a cake to show it is in perfect condition.

​

4. Alterations to the design

Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes will try to accommodate alterations to the original wedding cake design on the order form as far as reasonably possible. All requested alterations must be confirmed in writing and cannot be guaranteed less than two months before the wedding.

 

5. Cancellation of Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes products or services

5.1 Cancellation of the Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes product must be notified as soon as reasonably possible. Any booking fee will be retained regardless of the circumstances of the cancellation. As per term 2.2 I must receive full payment 4 weeks before the event. If you cancel your wedding within this time, after I have received payment from you, I will be unable to offer a refund and will retain the full amount. Please see below for following timescales and refund amounts:

3 months or more before the wedding date: Booking fee retained, no further payment required.

2 months before the wedding date: Booking fee retained and 50% of remaining balance payable.

Less than 1 month before the wedding date: Booking fee and full remaining balance payable.

6. Complaints

​

In the event that the client is not satisfied with a Fiona Hackshall Wedding  Cakes product or service, any complaints should be addressed within 24 hours of the event date to:

7. Allergies

​

Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes must be made aware of any known food allergies. Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes cannot guarantee that there will not be crumb contamination. It is the client’s responsibility to protect guests from allergic reactions due to consumption of Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes products. Guests that suffer from severe allergies are advised not to consume Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes. All Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes products are made in a kitchen where allergens are used on a daily basis. For example, nuts, gluten, eggs, dairy products, shellfish etc.

8.Disclaimer - ill health, acts of God or adverse weather conditions

​

Whilst I agree to use my reasonable endeavours to ensure that the Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes service is fully operational and error free, I can not guarantee this. Acts of God, sudden ill health and adverse weather conditions may affect my ability to deliver the Fiona Hackshall Wedding Cakes service. However, in cases of adverse weather I will remain in contact with the client in the lead up to the event and I will discuss a contingency plan with the client. I have contingency plans for occasions of ill health, but if I am unable to carry out the service at all then the client will receive a full refund.
